All-India Muslim League (1906)




·        The  All-India Muhammadan Educational Conference (AIME)  in 1906, held at the Ahsan Manzilpalace of the Dhaka Nawab Family, laid the foundation of the Muslim League.
·         It was formally proposed by Nawab Salimullah Khan in a meeting attended by three thousand delegates.
·        The name "All-India Muslim League" was proposed by Sir Agha Khan III, who was appointed its first president.
·         The headquarters were established at Lucknow.
·          First session – Dhaka
·          Second session – Karachi
·        Nawab of Dhaka Salimullah Khan participated in Bengal-Partition Supporting Movement with the appreciation of Lord Curzon.
·        In 1906 the Muslims Committee met with Morley-Minto at Shimla and request him to Separate Electorate of Muslims.

·        AHRAR MOVEMENT - Founded in 1910 under the leadership of Maulana Muhammad Aliu ,hussain imam, mazar-ul-haq ,Hakim ajmal khan and Jafar ali khan for active participation of the muslims in the national movement.
